PaXifica has recently been approached by the Irish Production company d4 Films, director Andrew Gillimore, for assistance in producing and the production of the dramatic elements of a documentary which covers the escapades of the infamous New Zealander, Hori Morse.
Hori Alfred Morse fought with the Auxiliary Force during the Irish War of Independence, after serving in the armed forced in the First World War. This documentary is to be shot in Ireland, but due to the director currently being stuck in New Zealand on Waiheke Island since the level 4 lockdown, and the urgency to commence shooting, the dramatic scenes to be included in the documentary are now to be shot in New Zealand early in January 2021.
By as far as possible drawing on the talents of the local community of Waiheke Island PaXifica is currently active in bringing together actors, set designers and builders, costume design and production crew to facilitate a community project that will assist Andrew, create the material required for his project. We will also be looking to invite some local up and coming filmmakers to participate, providing an opportunity to gain some valuable experience. The scenes will be shot on Waiheke, the principle location being Waiheke’s Artworks Theatre.
